What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as WHO you become by achieving your goals

“What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as WHO you become by achieving your goals.” – Zig Ziglar

We don’t always think about who we become as we achieve goals or become successful, until we realize one day that in the rush to achieve, we’ve become someone who we don’t like or respect!

This long pause is giving us all time to look inward to examine our lives, and many have realized that they wish to make some changes.

Objectives, goals or achievements which we valued and aspired to before suddenly doesn’t seem to be so important anymore. If you’ve reached this realization in your life, what would you like to change?

Many people will want to examine what they do once the world opens back up – and will be wanting to make some changes so that their lives aligns more with who they wish to become ( or re-discover).

Living a life which taps into your life mission was seen as a luxury for many, but now that we’ve gone through a time of inner examination, many will see it as a necessity.

I believe it’s a necessity, and have been at it for a long time, even when it didn’t meet with people’s approval, for they thought that being an artist was frivolous and unnecessary. Now that I’m also a writer, I may not meet with some people’s expectations, but I no longer worry about those opinions! I create and write for my own spirit, knowing that this is how I’m living my truest self.

If you’ve been struggling to give yourself permission to live your deepest self, I encourage you to take the steps to start! You don’t have to be great right away! It’s okay to be a beginner!

Follow your joy! Listen to what your spirit is saying to you!

If you’ve lost your job, what kind of company would you love to work for? Can you start working for that company with the skill set you currently have or do you need some additional training? What does your future require of you to do to make that happen?

This is a time to think, dream and plan!
