My newest book “Developing Happiness When You Can’t Find It” was written as a direct result of talking with people and seeing that in spite of many books about happiness being on the market, no one speaks to people who have been through spirit damaging experiences where simply ‘feeling grateful’ or ‘looking inward’ to find happiness just isn’t working, because there’s no internal frame of reference!
Finding happiness doesn’t happen when there’s an internal landscape of self-sabotage, where we’ve learned to think that happiness is for other people, that we’re cursed/doomed to struggle silently. The whole concept of ‘Developing Happiness’ came through my mindful journey to develop self-acceptance, even self-love, when just putting my past behind me and struggling to heal from the damage still left me with residual anxiety and depression. As I taught myself to feel positive about myself, I realized that I had also taught myself to be happy! More
