“Developing Happiness When You can’t find it” – Tamara Kulish
My newest book “Developing Happiness When You Can’t Find It” was written as a direct result of talking with people and seeing that in spite of many books about happiness being on the market, no one speaks to people who have been through spirit damaging experiences where simply ‘feeling grateful’ or ‘looking inward’ to find happiness just isn’t working, because there’s no internal frame of reference!
Please also check out the Guided Journals (see Menu), designed to help hand-in-hand with this book or as stand-alone journeys!
Finding happiness doesn’t happen when there’s an internal landscape of self-sabotage, where we’ve learned to think that happiness is for other people, that we’re cursed/doomed to struggle silently. The whole concept of ‘Developing Happiness’ came through my mindful journey to develop self-acceptance, even self-love, when just putting my past behind me and struggling to heal from the damage still left me with residual anxiety and depression. As I taught myself to feel positive about myself, I realized that I had also taught myself to be happy!
My writing style has been described as supportive, soothing, like ‘sitting down and talking together with a cup of tea’ (Ann Livi Andrews reviewed the first edition of How to Heal Your Life on a Deep Heart Level, then titled On Becoming a Lemonade Maker).
When I gave the manuscript to a few readers to review and offer feedback, I found out that instead of simply reading the book, they felt drawn into the warmth and support of the words and they were following the steps and doing the inner work! They’ve promised to give me deeper feedback than “I’m enjoying what I’m reading so far” and “I love your soft, supportive tone”, but assured me that they were making personal inner connections and were learning quite a bit!
As my physical therapist stated to me: “I thought I was kind of happy, but I’m discovering new layers where I can grow and heal. This is exciting work to do, but I want to, because after all, who doesn’t want to be happy?”

“I have the book in my kindle library and although I have read it three times, I go back to it whenever I can focus on its contents by subject and absorb what I need to remind me of my direction.”
“Thanks so much for putting your life experience and knowledge in a book for all to heal from including me as I continue to grow and become the person I knew was inside; the inside and outside are more in harmony. The work of healing is such a joyful thing now.”
“I think the idea of the workbook is brilliant and I think people will find the content very helpful. It is certainly very ‘on trend’ with the doodling/colouring aspect.” – Dorothy Berry-Lound, Managing Partner of HOST Policy Research, Reiki Master and Artist, Italy
I really like it a lot! Everything I have read has just been fun and easy to accomplish. I could really see myself doing this as a workshop in the schools and using it for therapeutic mindfulness, even individually! L. Rich, United States
