Just because you’re struggling does not mean you’re failing

“Just because you’re struggling does not mean you’re failing”

Yesterday was more of a struggle for me than other days.

My Shingles have came back on my face so I’m dealing with the burning and the itching, feeling more tired. In past years when I suffered with chronic Shingles, depression was unfortunately part of the deal too, so now I’m working on focusing my mind on the positive so I don’t go down that rabbit hole.

Illness is difficult to deal with when we don’t know if or when it will end, so depression sneaks in that door. It’s harder the keep That’s starting to feel a little too negative right now to continue writing about.

What am I focusing on to feel better?

I’m doing my best to eat healthy, though tonight my supper was chips with spinach veggie dip… at least I had some microscopic pieces of vegetables! I’ve been taking my CBD, fish oils, vitamin B-complex plus some other supplements to help my immune system, plus added a tall glass of green juice.

Lately I’ve been reading some articles shared by friends on Facebook, and those have disturbed and bothered me, as the content is more negative and even conspiracy theory oriented than I’d normally read, but I figured, what the hell, let’s give this a look at… I think I’m not going to click on those things in the future, because my emotional health needs to be kept on a much more positive keel. Part of my job deals with customer service, and right now I’m feeling other people’s struggles a little too much, so I need to back away from other negative messaging going into my mind.

As part of my previous healing process, I learned that curating what comes into my life, into my mind, into my world is crucial to feeling positive, rather than feeling overwhelmed.

I think this is an important point to share with you, curate what comes into your life right now!

Choose the positive, and focus on it! That’s what I’m going to be doing!
