“Self-worth comes from one thing – thinking that you are worthy.” – Wayne Dyer
This is a tricky thing to do.
How is it possible to feel self-worth when we don’t actually feel it?
This may sound strange, but we can teach ourselves self-worth.
How?
We start slowly. We start gently.
Start by practicing to speak gently to yourself, instead of berating yourself.
Start by suspending all that negative judgement of yourself, and instead practice seeing yourself differently, as a person who is trying their best.
Start by speaking kind words to yourself.
These actions help to change our outlooks little by little.
Over time, your mind and spirit will start to change, and will start to accept these positive messages.
Over time your feelings of self-worth will increase and grow, until they feel natural.

I miss Dr. Dyer. 😢 Your words are inspiring too. 🙂

This only feels like stating the obvious, it is whole another story to recognize this need for practicing self worth and actually doing it for real :))

Right?! I used to read those quotes and felt a little like a hopeless case because I just didn’t know how to achieve it! Took a lot more work than I had imagined!

Yeah that is some real work 🙂 I still don’t know if I have it all, as I find myself pulled back in the patterns now and then.

Me too. I get those twinges where I doubt and anxiety that something good applies to me. At least now I don’t get sucked down the rabbit hole of negative self talk and then depression! I can now recognize it and gently help myself to feel calmer!
