Your mind is a garden,
Your thoughts are the seeds.
You can grow flowers,
or you can grow weeds.
It may seem impossible to choose good thoughts when negative ones seem to infiltrate and take over, oh too easily!
So how can we choose good thoughts when the negative ones seem so strong?
I struggled with this very issue when my anxieties and depressive thoughts seemed to take over on a moment’s notice!
When I started saying believable positive affirmations to myself, at first it was difficult to even believe those, because I was so used to beating myself up over every little thing. When I started saying kind and positive things to myself, they didn’t sound true!
I kept at it though, because I didn’t like how I felt when my thoughts went negative!
Choosing positive thoughts can be difficult but the results are really rewarding!
More positives:
- What you are walking through at this moment may just be the story that helps get someone else through…
- Everything that has happened to you is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to prevent you from growing…
- Are you an “Echoist”? What it is and how to overcome it.
- Education is not something you can finish!
- Housework, childcare. Who’s work?? Yours, mine, ours?
- Forget what hurt you, but never forget what it taught you.
- You’re not selfish for wanting the same energy and love you give.
- You must learn a new way to think before you can master a new way to be.
- Do small things with great love.
- Build someone up. Remind them they’re worthy.
- Never wish them pain. Wish them healing. That’s what they need.
- When we seek to discover the best in others, we somehow bring out the best in ourselves.
- Bless everyone you meet today!
- Be an encourager. Telling people they have wonderful wings won’t take away your ability to fly.
- Your work is not to drag the world kicking and screaming into a new awareness!
- Red Ocean or Blue Ocean? How do you think?
- You must learn a new way to think before you can master a new way to be.
- Change how you see and see how you change.
- Make yourself strong!
- WARNING: This post may be triggering! Instead of getting defensive, say, “Thanks for letting me know your thoughts. I’ll consider them.”
- It’s never too late to teach ourselves!
- Don’t speak negatively about yourself!!
- Stop hating yourself for everything you aren’t. Start loving yourself for everything you are.
- Creating Mindful Distance of Thoughts… what’s that?
- The power of words
