Everything that has happened to you is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to prevent you from growing…

Winning Path

“Everything that has happened to you is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to prevent you from growing… You get to choose.” – Wayne Dyer

When I had the viewpoint that my life was cursed or that I deserved every bad or difficult thing, I saw every difficulty as proof that I was being beaten down or punished.

It was hard to extract the life lessons I needed to, in order to be able to move forward.

Once I learned that God, the Creator, the universe, the Angels, all love each of us and conspire to work things out for our greater good, I was able to completely shift my perspective.

Now that my entire outlook on myself and my life has shifted, I’m actually able to see the opportunities and solutions in each new situation. At least, I’m not beating myself up once again and soon be able to find the positives!

Being able to switch from seeing obstacles to being able to see opportunities is greatly dependent on how positively or negatively we see ourselves.

Having a negative outlook on events which come up, is directly connected to how little we may like ourselves.

By mindfully working on our feelings of self worth, our self esteem and reducing negative self talk, we become receptive to seeing opportunities where before we saw obstacles.

If you see yourself here, know that the difficulties you face aren’t there to grind you down or to break or punish you. We’re given difficult situations so we can learn and develop, much like working out in the gym builds muscles.

You are awesome! You can do this!

    1. Absolutely! My perceived failures overwhelmed me in the past, while now I’ve learned to suspend judgment and can see positives even during dark times. I feel blessed to have a changed mindset!
