Change is never painful, only resistance to change is painful.

“Change is never painful, only resistance to change is painful.” – Buddha

Fear makes change difficult, especially when our needs and expectations are rigid.

When we feel more comfortable in our skin it’s easier to flow with change.

By flowing with change instead of fighting it we develop more of a sense of adventure simultaneously with feeling trust that the universe has our back and is working everything out.

If you find yourself feeling resistant to a change, take time to look inward to see what fears are being triggered.

Speak kindly to yourself.

Remind yourself that things have worked out in the past, and they will continue to work out.

Remind yourself that you have been able to move through changes previously, because not only do you pretty much have what it takes, the universe has sent you help and teachers to bring you to the next level!

Next look at the pros and cons of the situation. Look at what the possible solutions are.

Make an alternate “if the shit hits the fan” plan, so you will know what you will do, worst case scenario.

I’ve done that a few times in my life when things looked bleak. I felt much better knowing what I could do if it all fell to pieces.

Looking back, I see that things didn’t work out as I had feared they would, but making a plan of action helped me to feel grounded.

I then felt I could focus my mind and energies on doing what I needed to do, no matter how unpleasant, to be able to move the situation forward.

Imagine a little what you would like to happen, if the best case scenario works itself out!

Then start to set up a plan of action! Make the steps small enough to feel do-able!

You’ve got this!

    1. I agree! Just when I think I’ve got it down pat, something else comes along where I need to walk myself through the steps! I’m grateful to have learned there are steps! It’s really helped with managing the anxiety! ☺️
