Why is there suffering in the world?

I’ve heard people question why a loving God would allow suffering in the world. Others question why there’s suffering and why we can’t eradicate it.

I don’t claim to have answers that will satisfy everyone, or even most people, but have reached my own conclusions on some areas of suffering.

So, if God created us with free will, what would the purpose of suffering be? Is he supposed to stop all suffering or save us from the consequences of our (collective and individual) actions?

In a world where we have free will to do anything we want, including committing atrocities against others, why do we still expect God to exempt us from the consequences?

Many of the sufferings we see in the world are brought about by human beings having done certain actions or having set up systems where some suffer more than ithers. A smaller percentage of suffering is from natural causes, and among those, a percentage is caused by man’s behavior in the environment.

What’s the purpose of suffering or rather, what good can come from it?

I can’t say there’s a purpose for suffering, yet I see time and again so much good coming from it.

I have been told many times that humans are here to learn lessons their souls need to learn, and the 4 psychics who had approached me in a 2-year span, all with the identical message had told me that I had agreed to my troubles before coming into this world. When I questioned the 4th psychic, she had confirmed that Spirit had told her this is true for all of us.

Like I said, I don’t have the definitive answers to why suffering is in the world, I can only say that as we do our inner work to heal and to grow, that our propensity to create or pass on suffering to others does decrease.

You didn’t come here to face hurdle after hurdle after hurdle. It’s not as if by mastering your issues today, more issues will be added tomorrow. That only happens when you deny them today.

Master your issues, now, and be free. Understand what troubles you today. Do what you can today. And the rest will be made easy.

So little can yield so much.

You are so deserving of everything you now want…

  1. The perceived guilt from organised religions can – and does – block inner growth. Much of the global atrocities we see and hear about stem from organised religions. Perhaps belief in humankind, our differences, and ourselves would serve better than some ‘higher’ alternative being?
