Do all that you can… the universe loves each of us and is working things out on our behalf!

Do all that you can, keep showing up, finish the tasks you need to… the universe loves each of us and is working things out on our behalf!

The life lesson Mighty Life Blogger writes about in “A Tree Truth” is one I have only very recently REALLY put into action in my own life!

“When you look at a tree in the heart of winters it’s dry and there not leaves, it would appear as if it’s no more but we know without a shadow of a doubt that when summer comes around that tree is going to be filled with beautiful bright green leaves. You know this, you don’t doubt this you know it and that’s it’s you focus on it or dwell upon it or think what if it’s not going to be filled with green leaves growing. You trust that this tree will go through its process and soon enough it shall be green and bright and beautiful.

If only we could have the same approach to everything in our lives. We do the work and need to trust the process that what we want and what we have worked for will eventually come to us. So often we dwell upon what if ans (sic) what not. But if you trust that when the time is right it will happen. How much less stressful would life be.

This approach does take time as we need let go of all the anxiety we create and just allow that feeling of it’s happening we may not see it but it’s happening.”

Until a couple of weeks ago, I had difficulty releasing ALL of my need to control the outcomes in my life, where it was squarely relating to a professional goal I’m actively working on.

Yes, I worked on the planning and the implementing; yes, I said prayers and thanked God for all the Divine help I’m receiving; yes, I released the outcome to the universe… however, I still held onto a shred of a need to keep trying to control the outcome!

When I mindfully decided a couple of weeks ago to just let the universe do its work and to watch the magic happen, I saw results just happening spontaneously of their own accord!

I’m 100% delighted to see that when we release our need to hold onto the HOWS, that the universe can truly work its magic on our behalf!

This has been a work in progress for me over the past years, having come from a fundamentalist church where we were taught to pray in great detail for everything we wanted, as though God and the universe lacked the ability to know what was best for us! (We were encouraged to keep prayer journals, so we could track the outcomes of our prayers.) If we didn’t receive everything exactly how we had prayed for it, we were told we weren’t good Christians, that our prayers weren’t strong enough!

This had the effect of taking an already vulnerable and emotionally damaged person (me) who was already struggling with anxiety and depression from feeling deep inadequacy and worth, and plunging me further into deeper anxiety and depression!

I went from being severely criticized and developing a severe lack of self worth in my youth, to seeking approval from church leaders and God… to then feeling totally worthless because my life wasn’t following the prescribed trajectory of someone who was “loved and approved by God”.

For those of us who have come out of these abuses, it’s really difficult to totally trust God and the universe, because we have a LOT of work to do first to learn to like, then love ourselves, and to see ourselves as WORTHY of receiving the magic of serendipitous blessings!

So, if you’ve experience the same kinds of soul crushing situations in your life, where you now struggle to TRUST in the universe helping you out, please hold onto the thought that you ARE very loved and cherished!

It was very pivotal for me to learn that I am. as you are too, deeply loved and that In fact I’m NOT displeasing to God! Our trials or health issues are in fact separate from God and the universe caring for us, and aren’t punishments or “corrections” we receive because we’ve fallen short of the Divine standard!

So, keep going! Do what you know you need to do, and then try to just leave it all in the hands of the universe to work its magic on your behalf!

Keep an open mind and heart, because the outcomes may be different from what you’d expect, but know this, everything has been figured out with your best interests in mind!

Always believe that wonderful things can happen!

Things are being worked out for the best!

By changing our inner dialogue, we change EVERYTHING!

Even after a setback or negative experience, we can create a “reset” button in our minds!

Is depression a lack of faith? What happens when it is treated as such?

Blessings!

  1. That last shred of attachment to outcome is often so sticky and sneaky how it clings to us! It is such unknown to let go of the How fully, it wears the garb of hope even. Miracles flow when we do indeed let go of that one too! Your writings are such honest beautiful reminders 💛✨

    1. 😎😊 thanks so very much! I knew you’d get this! Indeed, this is a huge challenge for each of us to practice getting out of our own way! 🌼🌼

  2. Exactly! God loves each of us so very much! We are His children! He loves us even more than we love our own children, if you can imagine that!

God does answer all prayers, but sometimes He says “No.” This isn’t a punishment, but rather God looking out for what we need. Remember that He can see the future, so if it’s something that will hurt us in the long run, or something that will not prepare us for the challenges ahead, He will choose something better. We don’t always know what is best for us, but God does! Let Him work!

    1. You’re right! I’m coming from a place of having gone through crushing times in a fundamental church, left with my faith in shreds and my self worth gone. I know there are MANY people out there (some are my readers), so I try to write gently to help them rebuild their self worth and faith. I’m not part of a church because I find it to be too triggering to listen to some things which are said, so I’m not pushing that onto anyone! Instead I focus on the love, how we ARE loved and cared for! These may seem like basic lessons for anyone who hasn’t gone through spiritual abuse, but it is monumental for anyone who has!
