Respect your body when it’s asking you for a break. Respect your mind when it’s seeking rest.

“Respect your body when it’s asking you for a break. Respect your mind when it’s seeking rest. Honor yourself when you need a moment.”

This is exactly what I’m doing for myself this weekend! I’m resting and relaxing, not going to push myself physically for a long fitness walk or work hard on my new writing project!

Over 15 years ago I had Chronic Shingles for 10 years, and my doctor had told me it had gone into my Central Nervous System. In early February I had gotten sick, the same symptoms as COVID-19, but at that time it wasn’t declared official in the USA, and because I hadn’t recently returned from travel from one of the affected countries those early tests weren’t available.

Since then I’ve been having Shingles eruptions, in places I didn’t have them before and feeling very run down some days and others days feeling better.

This week I’ve been feeling more tired than usual, so I’m going to respect my limits and rest.

That’s what healing requires, and it’s good for our mental health too!

Be good to yourself! Rest! Relax!

    1. Thanks so much Terry! I appreciate your good thoughts! It hasn’t been fun having the shingles return after an absence of 15+ years! Practicing my self care each day!
