Love is the basis for our universe, the frequency where everything grows and flourishes. Love is the state we grow into when we work on our growth and our healing. Love is the basis for kindness and empathy. Love isn’t an unlivable concept but a basis from which to grow and to model ourselves.

A very needed fresh start
We as a culture have long held the belief that “we shouldn’t speak ill of the dead”, but that often doesn’t help the living to process their past traumas. Semi-deifying an abuser after their death only adds to the mental and emotional burdens of the living victims. Instead, we need to be able to speak honestly and factually about the past. This is very cleansing and allows those old shadows to be released.

I shared last week about the life lesson my mother learned while on her deathbed, but I learned a valuable lesson from the pastor who visited my mother in the hospital. He had visited her 2 days in a row, the 1st day didn’t start out well for Pastor Jay, but his actions showed me a valuable lesson in handling bullies.
