I’m in a place of transition now, having lost my job almost 2 weeks ago. It was a shock to my system when it happened, but I need to believe that there is something else that is better for me.
It’s the interim times which are the most unsettling. Having a job gives a sense of stability and continuity, and waiting to see what the next stage will be can be unnerving,
Many of us don’t do well with drastic change do we? It’s hard to adapt to. Very unsettling. Having struggled with anxiety and depression n my life, I have learned some new tools to help refocus my mind.
What holds me together is believing that the universe has my back and is preparing something awesome for me. I will knock on doors, because after all, we never know which door will be the one!
Writing daily positive posts is one of the ways I focus my mind on feeling positive and hopeful.
Another way I keep my mind focused is to pray prayers of gratitude for everything which is being worked out for me; things I don’t yet see, but will soon come into my life and my view.
During these times I also love to focus on affirmations and positive quotes. This feeds my mind with positivity instead of falling down the rabbit hole of negative thoughts.
I’m practicing solid self-care to keep my physical and mental energy up.
It’s important to practice these tools daily, even multiple times per day during these kinds of transition times!

- Do small things with great love.
- Build someone up. Remind them they’re worthy.

- When we seek to discover the best in others, we somehow bring out the best in ourselves.
- Bless everyone you meet today!
- Be an encourager. Telling people they have wonderful wings won’t take away your ability to fly.
- Your work is not to drag the world kicking and screaming into a new awareness!
- You become what you surround yourself with. Energies are contagious. Choose carefully. Your environment will become you.
- It’s never too late to teach ourselves!
- Don’t speak negatively about yourself!!
- Stop hating yourself for everything you aren’t. Start loving yourself for everything you are.
- Creating Mindful Distance of Thoughts… what’s that?
- The power of words
- Resilience is knowing that YOU are the only one that has the power and the responsibility to pick yourself up
- I do not allow others to influence my thinking unless it is positive or uplifting.
- Every thought we think is creating our future
- Allowing 2 truths to coexist isn’t nuts!
