Resilience is knowing that YOU are the only one that has the power and the responsibility to pick yourself up,
Taking personal responsibility for your emotional and mental health is really challenging to many of us!
It’s so much easier to blame others for the condition we find ourselves in, rather than looking at how we can help ourselves.
It can feel like a knife twisting in the gut to make this step, because if we’ve been abused or treated very badly, it can almost feel as though we’re being asked to let our perpetrator off the hook!
This couldn’t be further from the truth!
They are morally responsible, if not legally responsible! Their Karma and consequences are theirs to face.
When we take responsibility for our emotional and mental health, we give ourselves permission to heal, permission to move forward, permission to not relive every negative action taken against us, permission to seek our own happiness!
This is freeing as well as empowering!
We owe ourselves the opportunity to heal and to grow! We owe ourselves the opportunity to develop our own happiness and fulfillment!
