“I stopped judging others,
when I stopped judging myself.
I stopped hating others,
when I stopped hating myself.
I stopped hurting others,
when I stopped hurting myself.
I forgave others,
when I forgave myself.
I grew in compassion for others,
when I grew in compassion for myself.
Love became my state of being,
as I grew in self-love.
It is always an inside work.”
Nunaisi Ma
It is so true!
When we grow and heal our inner selves, everything else changes!
I’m sure you are discovering these truths for yourself as you go through your own inner journey!
While we can’t change the world, we can help others to find the path for their own inner growth and healing.
Helping someone else find the path isn’t about changing them, it isn’t about forcing them to do anything.
It’s more about being there, being supportive, offering help but not requiring them to take us up on it!
Change, it’s always an inside work!

Very much agree with you. I have been using this guideline for myself to check within me for every judgment I feel coming up for others. Often I find similar traits in myself played out very differently and more importantly I feel the need to justify them to myself. Once I am able to accept myself fully in those aspects then it becomes easier for me to find compassion for those others that I find myself in judgment of.

This is so true, Tamara! Our perception of others rises from our perception of ourselves.
