“Patience is the calm acceptance that things can happen in a different order than the one you have in mind.” – David G. Allen
We expect things to happen in a certain order, in our time-frame.
When things don’t go according to our inner expectations, we get upset. Upset with ourselves, upset with our Creator, upset with others who may not have performed up to our expectations.
We can choose to be upset or we can choose to feel an inner calm, knowing that the universe has our back and is working things our for our greater good.
Like me, you have come through past difficulties. You’re far more capable than you realize!
There are usually far more possible outcomes to each problem than we can imagine, but we somehow get locked into ONE preferred outcome thinking that anything else just won’t be acceptable.
When we can accept in our hearts that we’re loved and cherished by God and the Angels, it becomes easier to trust that our best interests are being taken care of.
Sometimes a delay isn’t a ‘no’, it’s simply to allow time for certain events to happen before we can move forward, very much like the domino effect.
Sometimes a no is actually what’s best for us in the long run, even if it’s something you really want, for your life’s purpose may lie in a different direction. A ‘no’ may be the only way to get you to where you actually need to be in order to move forward!
We each have a life purpose; the universe knows this even if we’re not aware of it, so everything which happens in our lives is designed to lead us to it, and to develop our skills to be able to do it well!
If we’re going through a quiet time where it seems like we’ve been forgotten on some dusty side-street of life, never fear, everything will happen at the perfect time!
What can we be doing in the mean-time while we wait?
Keep doing what is in front of us to do, keep doing what we need to do, as excellently as possible, for unbeknownst to us it is exactly in those times where we’re assembling some of our greatest skills!
The soft skills, those character traits which will help us as we move into our life work!
This is a very good time to listen to your intuition! It can lead you to start something you wouldn’t have otherwise thought of doing! Don’t dismiss something your intuition guides you to do, even if it seems very tiny and inconsequential. Sometimes the biggest things start out in a very tiny format!
Patience, acceptance and faith are three things which give us peace of mind to handle the ups and downs in our lives!

The hardest lesson of all is how to wait. The thing is if we get it fast it has no value. If it takes much time the value and respect for it becomes more. This is something we all must learn and keep in our hearts. Thanks for this post

Thanks for sharing!
Yes, isn’t this the truth of how we usually perceive things?
Imagine a time when we become adept at feeling calm, patient and grateful… when that happens we’ll value everything which comes to us, whether we waited or it came quickly! So much practicing to do to get to that point! 😊

That quote says it perfectly and you explain with great clarity and depth. So much suffering can be avoided if we learn this sooner. Patience, acceptance and faith indeed a way to peace.
