Please watch your step: Your future starts here!

“Please watch your step: Your future starts here!”

Tamara Kulish

No matter which way you look at life, our future begins with each new moment! However, you see the little warning sign at the top of the photo to watch your step?

Metaphorically I see it as that quiet inner voice urging some caution and care before taking that big leap!

At this particular time in history we’re seeing a huge number of people quitting jobs. Some are doing so very impulsively, without a thought to their next step, while others have taken advantage of their time off during the Pandemic to retool their lives and move into something completely new.

Whichever side of the coin you find yourself on, take a little time to create a plan for yourself!

Running from one low paying job to another because the supervisor is an a**? Unfortunately, that’s the situation for many people, so a geographical relocation, even down the block might not be satisfying for you in the long run!

By creating a game plan, you may discover the type of work you’d really enjoy doing entails getting some training to be able to shift gears!

Here are a few suggestions if going back to University isn’t for you. Check out:

  • Online resources for free classes
  • Online resources for paid classes which give you a certificate
  • Community College or local Trade schools for non-traditional classes
  • Community resources to help entrepreneurs start a business

There are many types of businesses crying for dedicated and motivated staff, who are experiencing a high level of turn-over. That being said, staying where you just don’t fit is unsatisfying, and running from one job to another is exhausting and draining!

Try to find where you fit!

If you haven’t explored what will make you happy and use your natural skills and talents, take some time to explore your options!

I spent the past few months applying to many jobs, looking for permanent employment. I had a few very promising interviews, and with each one I’d pray that the universe place me where I needed to be. I ended up getting hired permanently with the University I had been doing temp work for since March. While it isn’t the best paying one out of the bunch, because I continued to pray over each job, I feel it is exactly where I’m supposed to be at this point in time!

Trust that when you ask the universe for help and guidance, that is exactly what you will receive! Be open, and become fearless!

You’ve got this!

  1. Loved the post! I think just creating a proper plan about how you are going to change your life makes a huge difference and sets you on the right path. Sometimes it’s that first step that’s the scariest.

    1. I totally agree with you! If we’ve taken the time to do our due diligence, then taking the plunge is just getting past our fears!

I think that taking the time to do the planning can really help overcome the jitters!

  2. ‘Please watch your step’ I like the image because it shows our future is in our own hands… but… care should be taken to not jump into anything.

I can relate with applying for jobs, I’ve gone from bad to worse due to not taking care or blinded by more money/a fancy sounding title rather than looking more into what I’m doing.

I’m in that state at the moment, but learning from it to take care to throw myself into the next poor decision!

I totally loved this photo when I took it, knowing that it would transmit a great life lesson, which doesn’t always get heard!

    1. Thanks so very much! I appreciate your support! Sometimes we search for things that may be closer to us than we thought they were! I believe that taking more things into account with a job than just a salary is a very important part of the process, and once again the universe has shown me exactly that! Blessings to you!
