“Piglet noticed that even though he had a very small heart, it could hold a rather large amount of gratitude.” – Winnie the Pooh
When things seem to be going well it’s pretty easy to feel grateful isn’t it?
Gratitude can feel difficult to feel when things aren’t going well. I understand.
I’ve taught myself to look for the positive in all situations. Definitely not an easy task to do when one is feeling anxious and depressed, but it really pays off when you struggle with those things.
What’s the trick?
Apart from looking for the positive, I give myself affirmations that I can handle it, that I have the ability (even when I can’t see it in the moment) and I am very capable of learning if I don’t.
I know I’ve just made it sound it easy! It’s hard in the beginning because we just don’t have practice doing this but it does get easier when we keep doing it!
Peace,
Tamara
