
Affirmation: No matter how old I am, I can always learn more, and I do so with confidence.
Lifelong learning… does this sound exciting or dreadful to you?
How often do we put off activities in our lives to focus on just getting through life in general, that we dream of our future retirement years where we can do ALL the wonderful things we dream of doing?
Unfortunately, the statistics don’t favor us enjoying those golden years as we dream. A percentage of people won’t live long enough for retirement, and of those who do reach that milestone, their health will have deteriorated to the point that enjoying activities is no longer a reasonable expectation.
So what is a saner way to approach our dream activities?
If we approach life as an opportunity to keep learning new things, trying new things, and actively engaging in doing these activities, our lives will be enriched all the way through our lives!
Generations past of our parents and grandparents following the first life method led to people who sacrificed their pleasures and dreams for retirement, and very often living flat lives and having been disappointed in their retirement years.
There’s no need to continue to live this life model. It has led to people forcing themselves into boxes too small for themselves to ever be happy or fulfilled in, having become angry or bitter about giving up their dreams to live a life how society said life should be lived.
Life is beautiful. Life is a gift we get to live each day, and not put off until some future moment.
We’re never too old to start living how we wish and doing the activities we want.
It’s not necessary to put aside our current lives to live our dream lives, but we can incorporate those dreams into our everyday lives!
We’re also never too old to take classes or workshops to learn new skills!
Be courageous! Sign up for a class! Learn a new skill!
