Sharing the synopsis of my new book

I thought I’d share the synopsis of my new book, still a work in progress, so no sneak peeks of chapters yet!

It’s different from my first 2 books, it’s not a personal development book, but is what I’m calling a “bio-novel”, since there’s some strange things that many won’t believe are true if I call it an autobiography.

Synopsis of book “And so on” by Tamara Kulish

Years ago Tamara was asked to write a “making of the movie” book when her second husband, she and 2 other partners had formed a film production company. She started keeping a pre-production journal to document what they were doing, little knowing what forces would soon be unleashed in their lives. Her journal became the basis for this book when it became apparent that there was more at play than simply making a movie.

The Native American spirit that was in the original book the screenplay was based on started to make itself known to all 4 and later even extended to other people who were involved with the project in the same ways it manifested in the book. Just like the main character of the book, both men in the production company later lost their minds because they were trying to force events to follow their own vision instead of respecting what they had been told they needed to do.

The eerie parallels between the events of the book and what happened in real life were becoming apparent in their daily lives, adding to the intensity of struggling to keep finding and keep losing investment partners, which ended up bankrupting not only their money but the morals of some of the players. This story is more than the paranormal events that occurred during that time, but also what happened to people who became addicted and obsessed with making that film, and how that tragically doomed two marriages, the author’s and that of her partners.

Tamara’s journey of self-discovery and healing is interwoven through the pages. She didn’t feel she chose that path, rather it chose her; yet she didn’t walk away from it even when it got very difficult and many would have had the sense to. Her earlier life experiences perhaps primed her and set the stage for her to accept that journey.

Walk with her as she goes through those difficult experiences, learn with her as the experiences teach her many lessons and sit with her once she emerges out of that emotional jungle and sorts through the madness of those days to be able to rise from the ashes her life had become.

What do you think? Is this something you think people would be interested in?

It has taken me years to figure out the purpose of writing this book. I didn’t want to turn it into a thriller where I showcased the strange things, because I had been shown that wasn’t the direction it needed to go. A few people have been telling me I need to write a book about my life, as I seem to have experienced many things that other people do not, and the events in my second marriage seemed to take that to a whole other level.

My voice in the book is real and down-to-earth, where I share what happened without sensationalizing events, because as the story unfolds, the coincidences and events are in themselves really out there!

When I have finished the 1st draft, I will share some parts of the book with you! I hope I have piqued your interest!

  1. It can take some time for a book/writing project to reveal its intention and direction. Your project sounds very interesting and original. I look forward to reading your excerpts. Cheering you on, Tamara!

  2. Just do you Tamara, your heart has always spoken here and in that will attract as it will. I have begun mine, but not realizing as you already have, it will change you. I started with bits and pieces never realizing a whole lifetime was forming…so after that who was I aiming it towards. I think, in the end, it will tell itself. Good luck kind lady, may it speak as it shall 😀❤️🙏

  3. Oh, this definitely sounds interesting to me! I’d love to get to know you better, and read your journey. Also, it sounds like there could be some paranormal themes which I’m super into. Good luck with this endeavor, I’m excited to read more!

    1. The book explains more about my journey than what I have revealed in my blog or two books, and the paranormal isn’t about what we normally associate with paranormal, it is related to the Native American spirit we found about through the author of the original book. It is difficult to explain here, I hope to be able to complete more of the book to be able to share some parts.

  4. Tamara, you have definitely piqued my interest! I’m intrigued and fascinated with the premise of the forces of addiction, obsession, an uncanny (paranormal) events at play that upend the lives of those involved. Wishing you success in completing your work-in-progress 🙂

    1. Thanks so much Rosaliene! Yes this is proving challenging to write and to strike the right balance of telling a story without sensationalizing the events, though I am sure that many will do so themselves.

  5. What you’ve written does speak to me, Tamara. I am especially interested in your amplification of this: “She didn’t walk away from it even when it got very difficult, and many would have had the sense to.”

In a world where we are encouraged to take things on, I’ve realized that part of taking things on wisely is making choices about which are worth it and which are most likely to produce desirable results. Too often, we meet our limits if our choices prove unwise. Think of all the wars that begin with cheers, certainty of victory, and flag waving, only to end in tragedy.

    1. Very true! I fully own my own choices, as I know I made choices even if my information was limited or I had unhealthy boundaries. The consequences that came were even still a result of deciding to stay even when things went South as the expression goes. I’m glad I kept a journal throughout a lot of the craziness, because I was able to reassure one of our business partners that it had indeed happened and she wasn’t crazy as she had feared she had become during those years.
