Socrates’ wise words resonate more than ever in this time!

Many people are sustaining unprecedented losses, seeing livelihoods and businesses struggling or closing. Some of these downturns or closures will be temporary.

Trust me when I say that governments and business people are looking for ways to keep businesses operating or to help them weather the storm. This is the time to actively look for solutions, ask for help, and to help others.

For others, after a time of mourning, comes a time of rebuilding.

This enforced quiet time is important to go inward and to practice self-care. Part of self care is our mental and emotional well-being. Having hope for the future is very important to allowing opportunities to make their ways into our lives, or to open our eyes to an opportunity which was there but we chose to ignore or put on the back-burner!

I’ve just very recently finished the final edit on my new manuscript “Developing Happiness When You Can’t Find It”, written for people like me who have been through life traumas and difficulties, where we’ve learned to think that happiness is for other people, where we feel we’re cursed/doomed to struggle silently. The whole concept of ‘Developing Happiness’ came through my mindful journey to develop self-acceptance, even self-love, when just putting my past behind me and struggling to heal from the damage still left me with residual anxiety and depression. As I taught myself to feel positive about myself, I realized that I had also taught myself to be happy!

My new project?

I’m looking for a literary agent I can work with to publish not only this book, but who will continue to work with me to develop the other book in my pipeline! My mission is to share my lessons with others in a meaningful and supportive way, so my energies are focused towards expanding what I’ve already started.
