Yahoo spammed all my WordPress comments!

Well, I just discovered that Yahoo spammed all my WordPress comments (sorry for not replying!) plus many of your posts.

I just thought WordPress had hidden my latest posts from everyone and I just wasn’t getting any comments from anyone. I think Yahoo went rogue. I figured that if I was invisible to everyone I’d just keep commenting on the posts I was receiving.

Having gone into my spam folder on a hunch, I saw all the notifications for comments, likes and posts, and manually put them back in my Inbox. I guess I’ll have to keep checking the spam folder to make sure Yahoo doesn’t keep trying to be helpful that way. I suppose that AI is somehow to blame in this!

Sorry for not replying to any comments, I’ll work my way down the list, eventually!

    1. Yes, exactly! I used to think AI would be very cool and helpful, but now I see it’s like a stumbling toddler. Sigh. It’s going to need a lot more training!

      1. I think it could be cool but like you said a lot more training is needed and we need to put some serious laws in place to make sure it’s not out of control. They just shoved it down our throats way to early!

        1. Well, as usual, the possibility of profits got in the way of good judgment. Money and the money grab is far too common a motivators.

        1. Well, we all are! AI cruises the internet and learns from everything, good and bad. I guess it’s up to like minded people like us to put out quality stuff to offset the junk!

          1. Ever two sides to everything Tamara but it doesn’t have a heart. No empathy, no compassion. Without that all decisions are just data copied. Don’t get me wrong, it can create lots of things but when they want AI to run things, then I worry. All of our decisions are emotional. It doesn’t know how, its just following what it see’s, not what it feels. Its like us running the world with our eyes, ears, smell and touch removed. Those senses are that uniqueness that love is understood by and we relate totally by them. But I bet it plays a mean game of chess 🤣❤️🙏

            1. You’ve brought up good points, both about it running the world and playing chess! I used to think I’d be long gone before the day came when AI would run the world, but given the extremely rapid advancements, it’s entirely possible I will see those days.

  1. Yikes! The only thing I can say is that a couple of months ago X eliminated every one of my blog posts. You might guess the reason, but they never said a word

    1. Argh! It can be so frustrating sometimes to deal with those platforms, but they’re now such a part of our lives. *sigh!*
