Ta-da, new “Accordions” feature and how they look
I found out in December 2025, just a short while ago, that WordPress has activated the “Accordions” feature in the theme I use. Basically, this allows for sections to collapse and open at will, allowing for a cleaner look. Users can expand a section to see details such as bulleted lists.
I was very excited to see this feature, having worked with it on our department website that I manage. For YEARS I wished for this advance feature to be made available to us regular users, but to my continued dismay (until now!) only companies who had more money to spend on those “fancy” things could use them.
I have over 600 quality posts which I made available to readers on the pages listed below, so anyone could seek out helpful information and find supportive words for their own journey. Up until just a few days ago, I did my best to organize the posts into different helpful categories, but it ended up being a very long page, with lots of scrolling. Putting all the lists into alphabetical order was a little too much, so it felt kind of disjointed to me.
Now I have my categories separated by sections, and when you click on the heading, a handy list drops down with the linked posts all in nice alphabetical order. I’m so pleased with the results! As you can see, there are many categories to help facilitate finding helpful and supportive information.
I chose not to set goals or resolutions a few years ago, what I do instead.
If you feel you need to set resolutions for yourself, choose only one thing, not a list. If you have a list, choose the thing that’s most fun or weird! Why should life be more difficult? Why not make it fun? Instead of trying to become a gym rat if you’re not, why not take a belly-dancing class?
If you feel you need to set goals, ask yourself this question and fill in te blank: “I have always wanted to do ____________.” Then go ahead and do it! Even if you start with the smallest task needed to accomplish your goal, you’ve started.
Scientifically speaking: The power of speaking kindly to ourselves and to others
The words we say to ourselves are powerful. If we speak harshly and unkindly to ourselves, we bring in anxiety and depression into our minds and hearts, while speaking gently and kindly to ourselves is healing and helps inner peace and happiness to grow.
This video shows the incredible power of words on the formation of ice crystals, and since our bodies are mostly water, words have incredible power on us too! Imagine the effect on our health too!
