“Your journey will be much lighter and easier if you don’t carry your past with you!” – Brigitte Nicole
We tend to carry our past around with us like a security blanket, to shield us from any possible negative situations.
We try to protect ourselves from more pain and hurt than we’ve already experienced.
If we’ve been through a lot in our lives, our baggage forms high and thick walls of protection.
The thing about our protective walls is they also keep out a lot of potential good from happening.
The walls become so effective that they can block some great opportunities and stop us from seeing them, so we end up only seeing the negative!
If this rings true for you, try practicing to just become open to what “IS”, and allow it to expand in your life and show you the potential.
Years ago I mentally made a huge change to go from blocking out a lot in my life to opening myself up to just learn about and to experience what “IS”.
This made such a radical difference in my life that I don’t wish to return back to my former mindset!
If it’s scary to commit to this for the long-term, try it out for a month and see how it goes!
If you like it, add another month, and so on!

Absolutely agree with you. I had written a poem called – The wall that keeps them out, also keeps us in. We block when we resist. It is important to be open to What Is.

The wall that keeps them out – how apropos! Yes, we all do that, even without realizing it! Sometimes it happens to us so gradually that only when the walls are very high and thick do we see them, and by them we may despair and fear being able to take them down! Our gift from our Creator is that we have been bestowed with the gift of being able to do it! Sometimes all we need to do is ask for the help (and then to be open to what form that help appears in)!
